Food Safety

At Vinyard Fruit & Vegetable Co., food safety and quality are top priorities.  In our effort to provide the safest and highest quality products available, we are continually striving to improve and further develop our food safety program.  Daily, weekly, and monthly internal facility inspections help monitor and maintain th operation.  Microbial testing by a third-party laboratory has been a part of our food safety program for more than 20 years.  In addition, Vinyard Fruit & Vegetable Co. voluntarily employs the use of the most reputable third-party auditors available.

In addition to the inspection program, Vinyard Fruit & Vegetable Co. constantly refines our HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points) program, and has developed an official Approved Vendor list for both edible and non-edible product used or sold by our company.  All suppliers must adhere to strict guidelines before shipping us any product, and upon arrival at our dock, all products must pass a thorough inspection.  Our well-established recall procedures ensure the accurate tracking of a product from its origin, through receiving, warehousing and processing procedures and finally to the end-user.

Temperature levels are monitored within our facility by automated computer systems and verified daily to ensure precise readings.  Our Preventive Maintenance Program and Master Cleaning Schedule allow us to efficiently maintain our facility and equipment to ensure the safety and quality of our product.
